Create Day
Come join us for this fun day of creating trees and santas! We all have items to share and some have ideas what they would like to create! I have several of the Sizzix speciality dyes for creating trees, that are available for you to use! This day is such a fun day of gathering ideas and some even go home with a finished product!
Lunch is provided! Bring a snack to share if you are able.
Below is a picture of the turkery that we will be making this Create Day. So if you are interested in making this turkey, please let me know you are coming to Create Day so that I will have enough kits made. ( Kits should run around $30 - $40 each.)

Wooly Pine Tree Day
Wooly Pine Tree Day is for making wooly pine trees. We will be constructing 24” trees. There will be kits available for purchase or you can bring your own supplies.
Let me know ahead of time so that I can plan for the tree kits and lunches.
Christmas Open House
Christmas Open House is always exciting, there will be sales (worth the trip), lots of goodies to munch on, and we will have some guest vendors (Jo’s Folk Art Fibers and Rustic Eweniques) in attendance also!

Vending & Teaching @ Creative Hands Gathering
The Hooked Chair Pad will be hooked in an antique style so that it appears very old looking. I will guide you through this type of hooking and it actually goes fairly quickly and then I will show you a quick simple finishing technique that aligns with antique mats.
You will have options for motifs in your kits. Kits will include the pattern on linen, and all of the wool and materials to hook it with.
You will need to provide the following for this class: scissors, gripper frame, and hook (if you have one).
I will have all of these supplies available for purchase if you need to do so.

This is a great 2 day hook in that offers meals and lots of door prizes!

Teaching in Millersburg, OH
Teaching commitment - So excited to be invited to teach 2, three day sessions for Lynn Ann Davis!
This class will be Creating Great Rugs based on primitive style of hooking and looking at antique rugs.
Students are welcome to hook any rug of their choice and bring their own wools, there will also be lots of wool available for purchase.

Sauder Rug Hooking Week
Hope everyone can go to Sauder Rug Hooking Week for at least the day to see all of the wonderful rugs on display and to shop with the variety of vendors.
If you want to be more involved watch for the classes to be released in Nov. 2025, and register for a class or workshop.
Another way to be involved is to enter a rug in the rug show, we need more primitive rugs entered! By entering a rug in the rug show you will get free admission into the rug show and shopping areas!

Glamping Retreat
SOLD OUT!!!
Glamping is such a fun event where you come stay in campers and just hook for the entire weekend. We rent campers for you to stay in and feed you all weekend. Our meal plan schedule has changed for this year because they say we feed them too much!!! We will be doing a brunch at around 10:30, snacks in between and then dinner at 5ish. Hope this plan is better for everyone.

Summer Retreat
Summer Retreat - come for a relaxing 4 days at The Wooly Horse Summer Retreat! This retreat will offer 3 teachers (Chrisi Koehl, Jo Wick and Jenny Smallridge), covering various techniques for primitive hooking and punching. It will all kick off with a Meet & Greet Sunday evening 5-7 (drinks and light finger sandwiches), then rolls into full on teaching Monday morning starting at 9-12, lunch break and then you will have all 3 teachers at your disposal all afternoon till 3, but you are welcome to stay around till 5p.m. hooking on your projects. Lodging and dinner will be on your own, there are several nice restaurants and shops in Hillsboro and/or Wilmington, plus hotels in each town.
The cost of this 4 day retreat is $400 (payable in full or a $200 deposit due by April 5, 2025) All registrations must be in by April 5, 2025. Mail payments to : The Wooly Horse, 4650 Fisher Rd., New Vienna, OH 45159

Wooly Rustic Fiber Designs Hook-In is a great destination hook-in. Tipp City, Ohio offers great shopping and restaurants for your visit. We always make time to enjoy the historic downtown area when we are in town. Put this hook-in on your list as a must attend!
We are moving to a new, awesome venue, an 1800’s barn!!!!

Handmade Ornament Exchange happens on this Fiber Day!!! If you would like to participate, bring a handmade ornament to exchange for another handmade ornament. (The ornament can be made by your hands or a purchased handmade ornament.) Just enter the shop and place your ornament on the Christmas Tree, then when you are ready, choose a different ornament from the tree to take home with you!
